Sustain knowledge use: Story time


Led by Harold Dean and CEO Mary Jo Monahan, this session gave participants strategies for developing engaging stories to connect with stakeholders to bring about change. Speakers shared an acronym (HAIL) as a tool that participants could use to ensure that their stories meet the “four cornerstones” of effective speaking: Honesty, Authenticity, Integrity, Love (wishing people well). The speakers then modeled these techniques by sharing examples of persuasive and inspirational stories.
